THROWBACK: Rongomai School Olympic Celebrations 2016

Rongomai Olympics 2016 started off with the traditional opening ceremony and then was followed by a week filled with Olympic events and some good old classroom-learning fun. Each class was given a country to represent and Room 5 were humbled to represent South Korea! Shout out to the Rongomai Sports Team: Matua Altar, Matua Vae and Whaea Alleena! From Room 5, annyeonghaseyo! (that's hello in South Korean).

Whaea Pae starts our Olympic Ceremony by carrying the Rongomai Olympic torch!

Research projects about South Korea! The kids had real fun completing these!

THROWBACK: Cook Island Language Week 2016

The tamariki thoroughly enjoyed Cook Island Language Week. The week was jam packed with Cook Island language, arts and crafts, and fun facts about this beautiful pacific island. From Room 5, Meitaki!!!

Room 5 tamariki absolutely loved creating their fun twist on a traditional tivaevae using symmetry patterns and origami flowers.
